SERROTE PROJECT

Mineração Vale Verde is developing the Serrote Project, which aims to start an open-pit mine with beneficiation of ore for the production of copper concentrate.

The beneficiation plant will be able to process approximately 4 million tons of ore per year and will include crushing, milling, flotation and filtration.

Copper is one of the most used metals in the world, ranked just behind iron and aluminum. Malleable, recyclable, resistant to corrosion and high temperatures, it is used mainly in the electrical sector, as it is an excellent conductor of heat and energy. Some applications include: power generation and transmission, wiring and electronics, such as televisions and cell phones.
