The history of humanity is marked by technological development and exploitation of mineral resources.
Mining is one of the key sectors for the Brazilian economy, contributing directly to our quality of life, as well as being part of our daily lives.
Virtually, all products require the use of minerals. Our foods are mass-produced with the use of fertilizers, which contain minerals such as: phosphate, sulfur, cadmium and phosphorus. Electrical appliances have copper in their components and receive power by means of electric cables made with that metal as well. The raw material of our vehicles, buildings, household appliances, tools, and many others come from mining.
