Mr. Araújo is a project manager with over 15 years of experience in the development of mining projects, from their conceptualization and pre-feasibility studies to implementation and start-up. His expertise comprises the leadership of multifunctional teams for projects development including: geological research, mineral resources estimates, mine design, engineering, construction planning, environmental permitting, strategic studies and project construction. His portfolio includes greenfield and brownfield projects of open pit and underground mines, with investments varying from US$50 million to US$4 billion. Mr. Araújo started his career in 2002 as a mechanical engineer at the engineering company ECM. Then, he moved to Vale for the implementation of the Salobo copper project as engineering coordinator and later, as project manager at the base metals busines unit. He joined MVV in 2018 as engineering manager for the feasibility study and engineering of Serrote Project. Mr. Araújo speaks English fluently and his native language is Portuguese. He is graduated in mechanical engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Belo Horizonte.
