Mr. Freitas is a lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in management and technical expertise in the Corporate Legal Department, preventive consulting, administrative and judicial litigation in all businesses, support in contract negotiations, internal management of teams, management of outsourced offices and relationship management with administrative authorities. He has specialized in tax, corporate, commercial, labor, civil, environmental, mineral and regulatory areas, working for over 15 years with mining companies. Prior to Atlantic Nickel, he worked for Synergy Group Corp., Vale S / A, Busscar, O Boticário, Mineração Rio do Norte (MRN) and others. Mr. Freitas is a native Portuguese speaker, fluent in English and basic in Spanish. He holds a law degree from UCAM – Cândido Mendes University, with a post-graduate degree in Constitutional and Tax Law from USP – University of São Paulo. He is a member of the audit committee of SINDIMIBA – Mining and Metals Extractive Industries Association, Noble and Precious Metals, Precious and Semi-Precious Stones and Magnesita in the State of Bahia (affiliate of FIEB – Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia).
